How Big Can One Build A Garage Without Planning Permission In Scotland?

Answer Question

There are certain conditions that you need to fall under if you don't want to ask permission from the planning commission. The commission says that the size of the garage may not be not higher than three metres. If the garage has a ridged roof, then there is a little difference in the condition. For a ridged roof the height should be four metres.

There are certain other criteria also that you need to fulfil but these conditions are not about the size but about something else. You must use the garage for domestic purposes only and the garage must be far away from the road in comparison to the house.

There are some other alterations also that require the permission of the planning commission and to know them you can contact the people themselves that are concerned with this matter.
