How Much Is A Ticket For The Bolshoi Theatre?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The Bolshoi Theatre is a large and well-known theatre company in Moscow, Russia. A good balcony or par-terre seat (balcony and par-terre seats are the best seats in the house) can set you back by anything ranging from 200 roubles to 1, 000 roubles. As per the current exchange rate, one American dollar is equivalent to approximately 28 roubles.

The price of a ticket for a concert or an opera is comparable to those at theatres in Western countries like the United States and other parts of Russia. These prices are relatively more affordable compared to other theatres in Russia which regularly show operas and concerts. The Bolshoi Theatre was founded in 1776 by Prince Peter Urussov along with Michael Maddox. It has been showing the ballet Swan Lake since 1877, making it one of the longest-running ballet performances in the world. Swan Lake was composed in 1875-76 by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893).
