How Do I Share Folders On My PC?

Click on 'Start', then click on 'My Documents'. Under 'Other Places', click on 'Shared Documents'. The shared documents section is used so that everyone has access to certain files, such as music, pictures, or videos. To allow a folder to be shared, click on 'Share this folder' under 'File and folder tasks'. This will bring up a pop-up menu with various settings that you can apply to the folder. There are network settings which you can view and you can also choose to make a folder private if you wish.If you click on 'Publish this folder to the web', then you can share your files via the internet using the web publishing wizard which appears when you select this option.

Sharing folders is useful for if you have particular pictures which you wish to share with other users on your computer, such as family photos or videos or other events.
