What Two Methods Can Be Used To Determine Where You Need To Put The Decimal When Multiplying?

    I'm only aware of one simple method.  Add the total of the places to the right of the decimal point in each number, and that's how many decimal places are in the product.  For example if you multiply 2.54 x 6.76293, the product will have seven decimal places or 17.1778422.  Easiest way I know.  Hope it helps.
