    A huge area of the Christmas Island is under the pristine, ancient rainforest .Almost 65%
    of its 135 sq km is now in the control of National Park . The aesthetic beauty of the place
    develops a close proximity with nature. The islands closeness to the Southeast Asia and
    the Equator has brought in the development of flora and fauna .

    The islands National Park was declared under Australian Commonwealth law and currently spreads almost two third of the entire Christmas Island. This park protects and restores the ecological system which characterizes this striking tropical island. It is known as the "crabbiest place in the world" due to the diversified number of crabs present on the island. Almost 25 species of tree are spread across this entire island.
