Rainbows are shown when the water droplets in the air are reflected with light. The visible spectrum appears--which is the only part of the spectrum which is visible to our eyes: R.O.Y.G.B.I.V. (Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet) It reflects off of the water droplets, and there are enough droplets to reflect all of the colors.
