My Parents Filed Bankruptcy Over Three Years Ago, So They Can Not Co-sign For Me For A Student Loan. I Need To Get A Loan , But I Am Hitting Wall With Them Telling Me I Need A Cosigner. What Should I Do?

Filling out the FASFA, it states that I do not qualify for grants or loans that are without a cosigner. Since my parents filed bankruptcy over three years ago, they do not qualify to co-sign. Where can I go??

Maybe some of the private lenders that do student loans will give you a loan. I know the interest rates are higher but it's worth a shot. Also check with the scholarships office of the school that you want to attend and apply for EVERY scholarship that you even remotely qualify for. There are some based on grades, some based on need and some based on your major.
Also look into work study programs at the school you want to attend. My school has several programs available and the programs are very flexible. Good luck and do whatever you have to to get your education. You will be better off in the long run.

I suggest you can try with student loan consolidation, where you can consolidate loan for student, there are many online sources who provide student loan consolidation for people have any credit situation, for your reference www.ezconsolidation.com my one of friend had recently consolidated his student loan from there with no credit, you can try this source may this could help you.

Hm Honestly I have no idea but I would imagine that someone else in your immediate family could. Like if you have a grandfather or a sibling over 21 then I think they might be able to. So google it or read the fine print or call the school and they will tell you. Good luck and stay in school!
