How Do You Graph The Linear Equation 2x+y=2?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    2x+y=2

    y= -2x + 2

    The general equation of the straight line between two variables is;

    y= mx + c

    y= dependent variable

    x= independent variable

    m= slope of straight line

    c= y-intercept

    For the given equation;

    slope= -2 and y-intercept=2

    For the given equation, values of x are plotted along horizontal axis and values of y are plotted along vertical axis in a xy-plane. This straight line will intersect vertical axis at point 2. The coordinates at which straight line will meet vertical axis is (0, 2). Moreover, the slope of the line is -2.
