    It isn't,the Civil War was fought between the states the war was to abolish slavery.And the revolutionary war was between the Colony states and England,we fought for our Independence.There is a big difference

      People who consider the civil war a revolution are generally from the southern U.S. The northern U.S. Considered it a rebellion by rebels set on destroying the union,,the southerners lost,the rebellion defeated.completely by northern armies. Had the south been victorious then the history would have been recorded as a revolution
