Where Can I Find Out About A Repossession On My Credit Report?

I co-signed for my brother in law and want to know how to be sure it was him. I have never had a repossession.

I would contact the financial agency listed on your credit report and ask them what the repossession was on and when. Then I would ask them who the person was that had the item that was repossessed. I would then inform them I never had anything repossessed and request that they remove it from my credit report. The next step I would take is once I found out who the repossession really was on I would file criminal charges against them for identity theft.

You can remove a repossession from your credit report by disputing it if it is not yours.
