Depending on what damage was done, if the baby survived, and has physical or mental, it stands to reason that you can get quite an amount for the damages.
In some cases, you can get two times the normal amount because you and your child were endangered. I'm not exactly sure, but you should talk to a lawyer about it, the cost is minimal compared to what you could lose over this matter. Hope this helps, good luck.
