I Bit A Rat Tooth In Oatmeal, What Can I Do? Can I Get Compensation?
Purchased oatmeal from local grocery store chain. It was the large prepackaged tub of oatmeal. Bit down on tooth while eating breakfast. Looked up n line to see what kind of thing it was. Do I notify chain so they can remove item? Not sure what to do.
The fact that among the first thoughts is about getting paid is becoming a big problem. Did it cause any real damage such as a broken tooth? If so them you might have a good reason to try to get the company to pay for the dentist. If not then there is not a lot you can do. Informing the store is a good idea but I doubt that they will recall the product. I would contact the manufacture of the oatmeal and tell them to take a closer look at their quality control measures. I'd venture to guess that they will send you some form letter and do nothing.
