Blandford Forum or Blandford is a town situated on the River Stour in Dorset, England. The total population of Blanford is 8,747 as per the stats obtained from the census conducted in the year 2001.
North Dorset's district council is based in Blanford, however it is located in the far south-east of the region. Close to it is the tiny village called Blandford St Mary. The town is located at the intersection of the A350 and A354 main roads but it is intersected by an eastern bypass, it is located at twenty five kilometers northwest of Poole and thirty four kilometers south of Salisbury. Blandford forum is commonly given as an instance of a Georgian town, as the whole town was reconstructed at once during the 1700s because of a fire break out and therefore it is unvaryingly Georgian.
