My dog is having a honk like cough and her ear seems to have collapsed. I see no signs of ear mites and have been treating her for kennel cough, so wonder if I should wait or take her in to the vet.

The honking cough is a classic sign of kennel cough. Kennel cough is usually mild and self-limiting. Your veterinarian may have prescribed antibiotics and cough suppressants to treat this problem. If you dog is eating, drinking, and has a normal energy level you can wait until next week to recheck with your veterinarian. If the ear continues to droop, there is any discharge, and or your dog scratches the ear then it needs to be examined by a veterinarian.
