Take the dog out EVERY half hour. And only keep their food and water down for 3 meals and take it up at 6 or 7 pm. No more food or water for the night after that. Keep it in a crate during the night, ut only a crate big enough for it to be able to stand up and turn around, this way it will be able to have an accident in its crate, and if it does it will have to lay in it and will teach them not to do that. It takes a while but it always works. My fiance breeds dogs and it has ALWAYS worked for us
Ive had problems with my jack Russel too. As you know Jack Russel Terroirs are one of the smartest dog so associate putting in the house with bad things like spray pepper and lemon on their potty and let them sniff it and then clean it up. Make sure there is no odor of putting in the house because they will think the house is a giant toilet. Also crate them and let them out then bring them in let them run around and do it over again it makes them obedient and housebroke. Thank Alex
Housebreaking in dogs require patience . They need to take rest at least six time a day. They should be taken outside after each meal. For housebreaking a puppy it is necessary to understand his nature. Try to evaluate his liking and disliking. Don't impose your disliking on him. I am giving you a link which can guide you properly for housebreaking your puppy. For more details, visit Housebreaking puppy.
My husband and I have been training Cooper ourselves and
have needed a lot of advice and information about how to train a puppy. I found
a wonderfully helpful website www.training-puppy.com. This website
has articles about general training, potty training, crate training, biting,
chewing, leash walking, and more. It also provides a catalog to order products
you need for your puppy, even great training videos. The products are of a high
quality and they provide free shipping. It is the most convenient way I have
found to obtain needed information and supplies. If you need to train your
puppy, I recommend www.training-puppy.com as the best
way to get everything you need in one convenient place.
Potty training a puppy can be a very trying experience depending on the temperament of your pup. But
potty training a puppy is essential training, of course, that must be started before all other training.
Let's begin the process of potty training a puppy or housebreaking your
puppy. This takes time, commitment, and all family members'
cooperation. Supervision is the key to this process. You must always
watch your puppy for signs that she/he has to go. These signs are
sniffing at a particular spot, circling, and squatting. Squatting is
usually too late.
