Are you sure you want to keep a snapping turtle? Anyway, there are commercial turtle foods on the market, but their diet should also include some vegetables such as lettuce. They are also fond of bits of chicken, turkey, ground beef and salmon. If it doesn't bother you, pet stores sell live fish for turtle food.

As far as equipment goes, you should consult someone familiar with snapping turtles, but I can tell you that they need exercise in much the same way a dog does. Take it outdoors in nice weather. You might want to set up a confined area where it can walk around if you think it might run away. My sister lets hers out in the house, but it's not a snapping turtle. Good luck. Give it a good home, or let it go back into the woods.
