    Biology is closely related to our daily life because we do many of the activities because of our biological makeup and needs. For instance, we eat because food is a biological requirement of the body to carry out various processes like respiration, digestion, excretion, and reproduction. We understand our bodies better and the mechanism involved in keeping it functioning when we have a knowledge of biology. We also understand the differences between living things and non-living things and the requirements of other living things, like plants and animals, for survival.
