Who Is Russell Brand?

Russell Brand is an English television presenter and comedian who is probably most famous for his work on 'Big Brother's Big Mouth', which is a talk-show about the antics that have taken place on the reality TV show 'Big Brother'.

Russell Edward Brand was born on the 4th of June 1975 in Grays, Essex.

Brand was a naughty child and often got into trouble with the police. He has been arrested on eleven occasions. Unfortunately he got involved with drugs and became addicted to heroin.

However, Russell Brand managed to attract some positive attention as a stand-up comedian in Hackney Empire in 2000 and got himself an agent named John Noel. It was Noel that convinced Brand to seek help for the heroin addiction and eventually give it up. Brand has now been clean since 2003.

Russell Brand started his television work, by presenting a dance chart show on MTV. However he was sacked after turning up to work dressed as Osama Bin Laden.

After cleaning up his act, Brand landed the presenting job on one of Big Brother's side-shows and has since hosted other chat-shows.
