Why Would One Use A Graphite Electrode Over An Iron Electrode?

I Need to understand the reason of using one compaired to the other.

    A graphite electrode is way moiré reactive and efficient in the process of electrolysis as compared to an iron one. Graphite also lasts longer than iron.
