    A Tiffany lamp is a kind of lamp that is made with a stained glass shade. A tiffany lamp is made by soldering together the pieces of stained glass that make up a Tiffany shade. Copper foil is used to solder the pieces together.  

    Original Tiffany lamps are widely regarded as being a part of the Art Nouveau movement. They are considered as one of America's best contributions to the movement that originated in Europe towards the end of the 19th century.

    The first Tiffany Lamp, which was designed and created by Louis Comfort Tiffany had a bronze base. Louis Tiffany was an American artist and designer known for skilled work in stained glass and he is one of the American artists most associated with the Aesthetic movements and Art Nouveau. He created the Tiffany Lamp in 1899.
