Does An Employee Schedule Become A Federal Document Once It Is Posted?
If it helps, I work at an up-scale resort in WA state. I recently wrote ("Why was I cut 2 hours this shift?") on the schedule. My response: FYI this schedule becomes a Fed. Document once it is posted, Only a supervisor may write upon it. People other than supervisors write on it all the time. This is our new supervisor's first week, is she valid in her claim?

I don't believe so. My supervisor tries to pull that crap all the time if we forget to write our time in or something. The time record stays with the company and possibly the payroll company keeps a copy but it does not become federal property. It is company property and thats as far as it goes. The accountants may refer to it during audit time but its still just company property that they must keep for seven years. Just like your employee file, you can look in it as many times as you want, add things in it and the employer cannot refuse you access to your file.all these management types all go to the same stupid seminars that teach the divide and conquer techniques. A working manager is the type of manager you can work with. These schmucks who come straight out of school don't even know what they're managing.next time they try to blow smoke up your butt, ask them to prove it. Show you the state statue or government ordinance. Watch how fast they back peddle.
