What Does Committee Chairman Mean?

A committee chairman basically is a person who heads a committee or an organization. Like for example Ken Mehlman who is the current committee chairman of The Republican National Committee.

The RNC offers national leadership for the Republican party of the United States. It is also accountable for developing and endorsing the Republican political policy along with organizing the fundraising and election strategy.
