Answer Question

It was during the April of 1860 to the October of 1861 that a swift and effective postal service between two cities of America, St. Joseph (in the state of Missouri) and Sacramento (in the state of California) started- this postal service was called pony express.  Established by a freighting and stagecoach firm known as Russell, Majors and Waddell, the pony express was only used for letters.  As for the charges, it was an economic affair for the people charging only five dollars for half an ounce.  The pony express was called the pony trade in its relation to the usage of horses to send mail.  For this purpose, expert riders were hired, mostly consisting of young men or boys.  They were given fast horses to ride, which were changed around six to eight times during the entire course of the scheduled journey.  A mochila (which was a leather square) was spread over the saddle and the letters to be sent were carried in four leather boxes attached to the mochila.
