Yes, a pregnant rabbit does always make a nest at most 3 days before giving birth. It is recommended by experts and rabbit breeders all over the world that a nest box should be given to the expecting female rabbit at about the 28th day of the pregnancy when the gestation period is from 30-30 days. If the nesting bed is provided to her before that she will just excrete in it and ruin the nice clean environment it is to provide to the young pups.
