Not sure how to explain my new kitties sickness. She's eating, playing, but she will stop, open her mouth, close it and goes on. She may do this a number of times. She has been sneezing. Is this a cold ? Thanks !!

I would say that there is a problem because this doesn't seem normal behavior for a kitten--take her to the vet

Your new kitty may have a upper respiratory infection and just like humans cats can loose their voice when this happens. She could have an ear infection with it; the side stepping makes me wonder if there might be a balance problem like children get with ear infections. Get a check up for your new kitten at the vet to be safe.
