Answer Question

A migraine is far worse than a headache.  There are different types of migraines, some start behind the eyes, others feel like a vice being tightened around your head, some are like micro burst of pain happening simultaniously in different areas, they can be brought on by bright light, allergies, certain food reactions, and can be devastating.  Some are so severe, nothing helps.  Much research is being done on migraines to this day.  There are many medications, but one of the recommendations, is trying to find out what your personal trigger is.  Some people will go without caffeine, some will notice that as soon as they eat a certain food, it comes on, I myself, since having surgery, I am affected by both light, and allergies.  I get a lot of migraines in the spring.  Can't move, nothing helps, not ice packs, tylenol etc. And  also, I am allergic to many pain medications, so cannot use

Pain killers are not much use for migraine.  It is caused by a swelling of the blood vessels in the head. Modern treatments can be obtained via a doctor which will narrow the vessels again.
