    All the fish breathe through their gills, except the lung fish. sometimes it jumps out of the water to breathe in case the water is to contaminated

      Fish breathe by circulating oxygenated water through their gills. The action of circulating it through their gills helps to separate the oxygenated and deoxygenated oxygen from one another.
