This is a serious decision that you should discuss with your doctor. Though reduced function, there may be some way of helping either through medication, or change in diet. To have such a radical proceedure done, unless the surgeons think it is urgent, you may be able to treat. Good luck and good health

The gallbladder is an organ that the body can function without. Best to talk this over with a Doctor.

A normal gall bladder functions at 35%, so I am not sure you should be considering the operation unless you have gall stones or other complication relating to your gall bladder. My gall bladder is functioning at 5%, do not have any other complications, and all I suffer from is extreme bloating. I am having a hard time deciding whether or not to get it out.
