How Do You Read A Gas Meter?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The reading on a gas meter is generally shown on the front section of the meter. The reading shows a sequence of digits of which the last one to three are just fraction units of the gas consumed, it is identical to how a car milometer functions.

The gas meter basically is a six dial digital meter and reads the quantity of gas consumed in cubic meters (m3). A gas meter is generally applied to calculate the flow of fuel gases like natural gases and propane. Gas meters are often installed at homes, commercial places and also in industrial building which use fuel gas provisions via a gas utility.

Gases are generally more complicated to calculate as compared to liquids, because the calculated volumes are greatly affected by temperature and pressure.
