    Cost Rica has a very tropical and sub tropical climate due to which it forms a part of Neotropic Ecozone. The parts of Costa Rica that from a forest are, Talamancan montane forests, Southern Dry Pacific Coast mangroves, Bocas del Toro-San Bastimentos Island-San Blas mangroves, Central American dry forests, and Mosquitia-Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast mangroves.

    The country is also famous for it national park system, which is administered by SINAC (Sistema Nacional de Areas de Conservacion, or "National System of Conservation Areas"). The main national park is an island called the Cocos island, which is around 24 square kms.. In Spanish it is known as, Isla del Coco. Apart from the this largset national park, Costa Rica has a huge count of 26 national parks to its territory.
