What Information Can You Give About Stephen King's 'The Talisman'?

The Talisman was published in the year 1984 and is considered to be from the fantasy genre. The novel is not being written by King alone but is the product of his collaboration with Peter Straub.

The book is about the adventure of a boy named Jack Sawyer whose age is twelve. The story moves on when the hero of the novel wants to find a talisman so that he can save his mother. The whole premise of the novel exists on the theory that there is another planet also in existence and is parallel to our world. The name of the land is 'The Territories' . The unique aspect about the land is that there is a similar individual as that on the earth and it is only a rare instance when the same individual is dead on that planet but not on the earth. This happens in the case of Jack Sawyer when he became single. It is this phenomenon that makes the story move and he goes on in his pursuit of finding the talisman.
