What Does The Dragon Symbolize?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Dragons have existed in several cultures in one form or another and likewise the symbolism they depict varies from culture to culture. Some speculate that perhaps the giant dinosaur bones discovered in the past may have been mistaken for dragons. However, oriental cultures like the Chinese, the Koreans and the Japanese revere dragons as divine beings who are supposedly benign, wise and intelligent. In the ancient European cultures they were depicted as fearsome beasts who were slayed by valiant knights.
