Is Fiberglass Used In Or Around Automotive Repair Shops?

Picked trailblazer up from the auto body shop, I began itching, broke out in hives. Slivers of fiberglass found in the seat. Called body shop, was told they did not use fiberglass and that it had to have been something that was already in the car. Never happend before?

Some use it, a friend of mine uses it to fix all kinds of things. My fiance used it to make a custom dash piece... Anyway if it wasn't in the car when you left it there and you have been the only one driving it since then it had to come from there. Even if other people you knew drove it come on it most likely came from the shop.

Thanks Ryanna, this a reputable chevy car dealership that had the trailblazer in the shop for over 2 months. Oh, and they sell corvettes, which I know most are made from fiberglass. I hate it when businesses try to worm their way out of something. All I wanted was my trailblazer to be cleaned up. Now I’m thinking about contacting the better business bureau or attorney general’s office.

Most auto body shops use some form of fiberglass    several body fillers contain it for added strength   also note that the black insulation fibers from under your hood  itch like the dickens and looks like fiberglass
