If the zoo(animal zoo) does what it is suppose to, they collect animals that are going extinct or are injured and create a area for visitors to see the animals while they recover or gain growth in their numbers while raising funds to take care of the animals by having patrons visit the zoo bringing awareness to the need for the zoo and it's caretakers.....and the reasons why the animals are being harmed or going extinct...also it helps advance treatments of animals through study of the animals...

Zoos are a great place to study animals if you can't go to their real habitat to see them there!
