Why Should Kids Stop Watching Tv ?

They shouldnt. Too mush is bad,  in moderation it is okay.

I am not sure that a total stoppage is good or necessary.  There are some good programs on TV for children.  Some are teaching shows and some are shows that will keep one posted on the affairs of the world, history shows are available as are discovery/science shows.  Pure entertainment is not bad either as long as it does not interfere with school work or family relations.  But,  having time to play outside (not just video games) and enjoy the outdoors should definitely be scheduled daily.  There are some cartoon type shows that will (in my opinion) really mess up a kid.  Bad language and bad morals shown as a daily part of a family life is certainly nothing that a child should watch!!  The best thing that a parent can do is to monitor what and how much TV is allowed in their home.

I think that the amount of time in front of the idiot box should be limited, but not stopped completely.
