You don't! A bird is meant to fly if you don't want it to then get a hamster instead! (not being funny) I have a pet shop an specialise and keep a variety of birds, Only reasons i clip is -an untamed bird or aggressive bird although a behaviourist should be able to sort this problem. If you have a good reason for clipping then go to an experienced Avian veterinarian- lots say they do birds and they have got a clue! Clipping can cause a lot of problems ie plucking and depression so think about it properly before getting it done. Don't ever try it yourself as you can seriously damage the wing or scare the bird of you and some never get over it.
