What Is A Family Law Lawyer Salary?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

A laywers salary is determined by how many cases they win.  If you are good, you can charge hundreds of dollars, but there was this lawyer in my town, unfortunately, she was mine, and she was so lousy, that all the firms let her go. She now does  legal aid at a minimum salary, and even then, most people intown don't want to bother with her.  She was referred to me by one of the high priced laywers in town, cause he took most men's cases, makes a fortune by the way, went to he and she sucked.  Lost my kids because of her.  She refused to inform the judge that I was the sole provider in the marriage, cause she wanted me to go on welfare.  Dimwit.  Once I lost the kids, my whole life changed for the worse, but getting better now

This doesn't even answer the question.  It depends on various factors such as where you are from, and yes, how good of a lawyer you are, private practice or firm, etc.  But GENERALLY, from my own research, the average salary is somewhere around $50,000.  Surely, over time, if you were to dedicate your practice to family law, you would get more and more references over time, build your practice, and make more.
