    Korea is known officially as Republic of Korea. The total area of South Korea
    is 100,032 square kilometers which is equivalent to 38,622 in square miles.  This makes it the 108th largest
    country of the world. It occupies only 0.07% of the total land mass of the earth. South
    Korea is located in the region of East Asia and it is bordered on the north by
    North Korea and on the south by the Korean peninsula. In relative terms, south
    Korea is slightly larger than the US state of Indiana.
