Your puppy should be eating puppy food by the time he starts developing teeth around 7 to 10 days old. When he reaches 3 to 4 weeks old, you should start offering dry puppy kibble to suppliment the mothers milk.. By the time he is 8 to 10 weeks old he should be weened from the mother dog and should be eating dry kibble for every meal until he is a year old, unless he is a giant breed dog like mastiff or greatdane. These breeds are not fully grown until age 2 years. THEN you start feeding adult dog kibble.
