What Is Tax Relief?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Basically Tax relief is a tax break or a write off that changes the amount of money you owe in taxes. Tax relief can generally be granted either locally, federally or at a state level, though in America Tax relief is often used at a federal level.

Generally the Tax relief periods are there to help out small business and individuals who need a financial break. They are not used for people who are well off however such as billionaires for example. There are all kinds of reasons why a person or business may need Tax relief whether it is down to personal reasons, or if they simply have an extremely low income. In order to see if you qualify for a Tax relief, you have to meet specific social and financial requirements. It is always best to visit your local council or citizen's advice bureau in order to see if you are eligible.
