Where Was Ian Curtis Born?

Ian Curtis was born on the 15th of July, 1956 near Manchester, Lancashire. He was born in a memorial hospital which was situated in Old Trafford, Stretford. He was bought up in Hurdsfield. He spent most of his adulthood in Macclesfield. Ian Curtis showed immense talent from a very young age as poet and a songwriter. At the age of 11 he was awarded a scholarship at the 'Kings school' in Macclesfield. But he was never interested in education; he was more motivated to make a career in Music. Before hitting it big time with his band 'Joy Division' Ian Curtis had also worked as a civil servant in Manchester.

Ian Curtis passed away on the 18th of May, 1980. It is said that by the end of the year 2006 or beginning of 2007 a biopic called "Control: The Ian Curtis Film" will be released.
