    The nickname
    “Grand Canyon State” was given to the state of Arizona. The reason is the
    presence of the most famous landmark in the state that is Grand Canyon. The
    place is so famous that it became the identity of the state and earned the
    state this nickname. The state also has another nickname “copper state” because
    of the presence of natural deposits of copper on the state.
