Frontal rainfall is one of the three main types of rainfall. The other two types are known as convectional rainfall and relief rainfall. Frontal rainfall is the most common type of rainfall in the United Kingdom. In fact, the United Kingdom receives heavier frontal rainfall than it does convection rainfall.
The term frontal rainfall is derived from the fact that it occurs when two masses of air, one warm and the other cold, meet. This causes a front. When the mass of warm air meets the mass of cold air, the warm air, which is lighter and less dense than the cold air, rises above the denser and heavier cold air mass. When the warm air is pushed upwards it cools. When air goes above the point of dew formation and is no longer able to hold all its water within, it begins to condense and form clouds. This leads to precipitation. This rain falls over a wide area.

Well ...In a nutshell :
When warm and cold air meet, the warm air (being less dense than cold air) rises over the cold air and as it does so it cools, condenses into clouds and precipitates over a wide area.

Frontal rainfall is when warm air rises (because it is lighter then cold air) then it cools and condenses then precipitates as rain

Frontal rain is hot and cold rain meeting and because the hot rain is more lighter the cold air goes up and comes down rain
