Do Tomatoes Contain Any Vitamin C?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Yes tomatoes do have vitamin C in them; in fact they are a very good source of vitamin C. An average sized tomato contains around 23 mg of vitamin C. It does not have many other nutrients in it. This makes tomatoes a very good source of vitamin C. The calories in tomatoes are extremely low so it is also good for people who want to eat something that has vitamin C but do not want to gain weight. Vitamin C helps in the absorption of Iron and also helps in maintaining bones and arteries.
