Why Are People Scared Of Ghosts?

Most people are afraid of what they can't explain. Like some people say, "If I can see or touch it then it's real". Ghosts are not something you can touch, but they can touch you. If you are afraid and show your fear then what you fear will get you. There are demonic entities out there. Those are the ones you need to fear. They feed on it.

It depends on why they are actually afraid of the ghost. Is it the ghost itself.....or what it looks like? Some people just get scared by the sight of it. Other people might get scared by how it looks. Sometimes spirits have something unfinished in the mortal world, so they come back to do it. And until they finish....they probably won't "cross over". Other times, i think maybe they just want company...or to tell people what happened to them.

Ghosts are just persons who died but in soul they are alive.....it's nature to those souls because i think they have so many things to accomplished and not yet done so they keep on doing it....these unusual event may happen everyday for as long they had their loved ones.....it is normal to us people who will scared of ghosts because of what their situation has,they died because of so many reasons,and we could not blame them ,may it's godwill but some do revenge....that could be the possible answer on that particular question...

Even though we live in the C21,many, many people in all cultures are open to the possiblity that there is another life in which people live after their death. This belief is strengthened by 'near death experiences' reported from all over the world.

Many cultures still believe that at certain times of the year their ancestors come back to this life and various rituals are performed to appease these spirits. In some South American countries dinners and celebrations are held to which it is believed that the ancestors visit and join in the festivals.

In pre-history the spirits of the ancestors were almost certainally part and parcel of everyday life and no great distinction was made between the living world and that of the dead. Excavations at many archaeological sites seem to confirm the latter.

People experience many sitings or feelings which they claim to be ghosts or souls and who are we to argue with their experiences? think of the last time you visited a creepy ruin and felt that someone was watching you....

People fear what they don't understand and i don't say that for you to go understand ghost ,but you need to understand there is a whole nother realm out there and it's the spiritual realm being good or evil and what you don't wanna do is fear evil at all , cause they don't have any jurisdiction if you believe in GOD.For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind is what his word say's , so when fear comes remind your self what God said and it can't bother you any more , cause GOD rules! Weather you or anyone believe or not.

I believe that people are afraid of ghosts because they don't understand them. Try imagining something from a ghost's perspective. Sometimes they don't even know they are not alive. I feel extremely bad for those who don't. Imagine walking away from a car crash or a fire or something of the sort. Nobody knows or even notices you. No passing glances and or "hellos".
Think of it my way for just a moment and you will understand what I mean.

I'm still on my Idea about aliens and ghosts.
These are the creatures of the other world, the invisible world.
They have their life, but sometimes some evil one of them try to make people scared and confused. They have super powers to turn their shape and they do that to make us believe this. Once and again take the fear out of your mind by asking the god to make your mind clean and peaceful.

They believe in ghost because they here about them on the news, like when you see a scary movie you think what is not real is real. Also they do not want to separate with family and friend they want to be with them forever.

No, because some people believe they can see them. Any I beg your pardon but I would love to make every unbeliever into a believer. We can't have a reasonable explanation for EVERYTHING in life.

I dont beleive in ghosts i think its just a thing in peoples imaginations no-one can actually answer if they are real or not :D

It is the unknown and people are usually afraid of that which they do not understand or know a reasonable explanation of what it is.

Hi! I don't believe in ghost because i have not seen one but in paranormal activity that movie was good but was not scary.

Jesus knew that ghosts existed. A ghost is simply a spirit. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost to his believers after He ascended into heaven. The other spirits are not Holy.

Mark 64:49When the disciples saw Jesus walking on the water, they thought he was a ghost, I:and they started screaming. 50All of them saw him and were terrified. But at that same time he said, "Don't worry! I am Jesus. Don't be afraid."

Luke 24:35 Then the two from Emmaus told their story of how Jesus had appeared to them as they were walking along the road, and how they had recognized him as he was breaking the bread. 36 And just as they were telling about it, Jesus himself was suddenly standing there among them. "Peace be with you," he said. 37 But the whole group was startled and frightened, Thinking they were seeing a ghost!

What needs to be thought here is who coined the term ghost and was it created as a sort of mental mechanism to frighten people. I believe you will find the answer is yes.

Ghosts are people i once saw a ghost and i imagined it was my relative well im not scared of them because im a vampire

People think about them too much that they fill as if they are present.

Because we automatically feel scared. Some of us have the courage to talk and some dont. But also if the ghost is troubled we get that feeling and get nerves too. Its weird and not explainable so it's really what you belive
