In their business and governmental affairs, the Egyptians kept documents to show exactly how much material was received and from whom, when it came in, and exactly how it was used. The military, social, religious, and governmental aspects of Egyptian life were highly organized. There were much inefficiency, but the final task was accomplished. Three commodities, which virtually rule modern efforts, seem to have been only minor considerations along the Nile: time, money, and the satisfaction of the worker.

           The pyramids of Egypt have always been a fascination for the travellers and ruler of the past ages. Several travellers, geologists and mathematicians have been interested in finding out the reality of these pyramids. In 2780 B.C the architect of King Djoser, built the first pyramid by stacking slabs of variable sizes. The largest of all pyramids is the one at Giza which was built by Khufu who was also known as Chepos. The base of the pyramid covers around 13 acres and the sides are oriented the angle of 51 degree and fifty two minutes the most fascinating thing for the people of today is very sharp cutting of these edges at such a fine angle.

           There are different speculations about the tools which had been used for the construction of these pyramids it is believed that the Egyptians used to have copper tools and saws which were used to cut soft stones and for harder part granite was used at that time. Levelling of these pyramids was also a very important factor to be considered since no modern laser alignment and levelling was available like these days however water trenches would have been used for the levelling of the pyramids.There are several pyramids which are built in Egypt some names are pyramid of Khafre, ppyramid of Menkaure, and pyramid of Khufu etc.

The Pyramids of Egypt are among the largest constructions ever. They are symbols of the Ancient Egyptian Civilization. Archaeologists believe that they were constructed as burial monuments that were associated with the royal solar and stellar cults of the civilization. The Pharaohs established a stable central government in the very fertile Nile Valley, around which the civilization took shape. Perhaps the biggest testaments to the power of the Pharaohs were the pyramids, built to shelter them in their afterlife.

Ancient Egyptians believed that when a Pharaoh died, he took over as Osiris or the King of the Dead. The new Pharaoh then became Horus or the God of the Heavens and the unchallenged protector of the Sun God. This cycle was connected with and symbolized by the rising and setting of the sun.

They believed that some part of the dead Pharaohs spirit, the 'ka', remained with his body. And if the corpse was not taken care of, the dead Pharaoh would not be able to carry out his duties as King of the Dead and if this happened, the 'cycle' would be broken and lead to Egypt's downfall. To prevent the catastrophe, each dead Pharaoh was mummified and the process of using herbs and spices, preserved his body.

It is one of the great wonders of Egypt. Known for its great history, it continues to thrive along the past.

Some of the pyramids were built as burial places for Egyptian royalty. They may have represented a place or a stairway for them to ascend to the heavens. The contents of the pyramids included all sorts of items that were believed the deceased would need in the afterlife. Food, treasure, pottery, and even chariots and boats have been found in those pyramids that were not already plundered by looters. Another thought is that the pyramids were meant to symbolize the mound on which Ra, the sun god, or creator was born. In any event, the pyramids of Egypt are an examples of incredible feats of engineering.
