Consumer RipOff!

why is it that when ever something goes up in price for a particular business, they say "They will have to pass the price increase to the consumer." Why don't they just take less profit and give their CEO a smaller bonus! Why do we as consumers take this. I recently went to an auction. The sign read that there would be a 15% buyers premium and the tax would be on the total amount including the buyers premium. After I thought about this I realized that the auction guy got the 15% plus I was paying his taxes

I agree with you, its ridiculous that they pass on increases to the customer everytime. I think they should stop paying silly wages to the fat cats who own the companies. The law should cap the business community with a proviso that if customers are forced to pay then their big salaries should be suspended until the status quo is restores. But don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen.

What can we as consumers do. There must be something. As consumers we do have power, don't we? What is that power and how do we harness and use it?

Boycott the product. Do you realize what could happen to the oil companies if no one bought gas on a particular day?
