    I don't know about films, but the 3 types of play he wrote were TRAGEDIES, COMEDIES & HISTORIES.

    PS. It's worth noting that in this context, comedies were not necessarily humorous.,It just meant that they had a happy ending.

      As he died in 1616, and photography was not invented until the 19th century, Shakespeare obviously never wrote for film.
