Well, it can be really good if you choose the right hotel. Generally, the star grading in Turkey is a bit lower than the UK ~ a three star hotel in Turkey can be OK but it can be really dire whereas in the UK you expect something reasonable.

In Turkey, it is best to aim for a four star or five star hotel if at all possible, particularly for all inclusive as this type of holiday revolves very much around the hotel itself. You don't want to pay up front for all inclusive and then go to the expense of eating out every night in the nearest town!

A good five star chain of hotels includes the Ephesus Princess, which is absolutely great. It has wonderful food in the buffet restaurant with every choice of food imaginable for breakfast, dinner and lunch. This hotel is in Kusadasi and is quite close to the City of Ephesus, which is well worth a visit if you go there.

Another good hotel is the World of Wonders at Gumbet near Bodrum. The facilities and food are fantastic and the hotel pool lit up at night is magical.
