Simple eat well, and exercise. Find a way of exercising that you like. I love cycling, swimming and rollerblading and many more. I eat well and now i look brilliant for my age. Obviously if you have some problem or something, ask someone who knows a lot. Mum, dad, gp... GOOD LUCK

At 15, it is relatively easy to lose weight. It is important to eat Breakfast in the early morning. Cut out Fats, in the foods. Switching from Soda's to water alone, will take off like 8 lbs., in less than a month. Eat snacks more often, and big meals less.[ Healthy snacks like yogurt or fruit.] Drink lots of water. Swim, walk or dance for about 30 minutes per day. Eat lean  protein in small portions. Make sure you get at least 3 servings of lean dairy, daily[this actually helps weight loss] and you need the calcium, so make some of those snacks, yogurt or milk, or a piece of cheese. Eat as much fruit and vegetables as you want to manage hunger, provided you do not put butter, cheese or dressing on them. If you must eat bread, make sure it is wholegrain. If you slip up one meal, or one day, do not get discouraged, just keep on with the plan. Within 2 months you will be very happy with the results. Don't let yourself get too hungry. At this age, you use calories rapidly, so if you don't plan a healthy snack you will end up binging.

First, realize you are not obese. Second that weight is deceiving. You can weigh 20 lbs more than someone and be much healthier than they are. Muscle mass weighs approximately twice as much as fat. So if you exercise you could loose ten pounds of fat but gain muscle and weigh the same. Look into doing a body mass index or BMI on yourself. That will give you a much better benchmark then weight will. Also body measurements of other types are better then weight. Watch what you eat, and a regular exercise regimen is all that is really needed. If you want a really flat stomach, I suggest plenty of crunches and leg lifts that way you get your stomach even. Too many people do crunches/sit-ups and not leg lifts, the leg lifts make the lower stomach flat and takes care of the "pooch" many women experience.

I think that you should not worry so much about the national average and focus on what weight you are comfortable at.  Stay active daily and eat semi-healthy (everyone likes  treat every now and then) and you will see that your body will morph into a weight that works well for you personally.

Hey, im 15 too, and i need to loose weight. Its difficult, i have been trying to stop eating such fatty foods yet, i just cant help it. The only thing i could suggest is cut down to smaller portions of food, and exercise for 2 hours everyday. If this does nothing in a month, then you can just go to your doctors and ask them if they could help with whatever your problem is. Mine is eating too much stuff like chocolate and pizzas and junk. Im sorry if this isnt much help and i am sure you have heard this kind of advise alot. I have too. You could simply get a wii, they have loads of different techniques on loosing weight. Im doing that but then my brother stole it. I hope this does help you.

The healthy way of losing weight is:  Regular exercise and lower caloric intake (proper diet / nutrition)...if you have the means to enroll in a nearest gym in your area, please do so and request for a personal trainer...your personal trainer must assess your fitness level and medical condition before he can give you a fitness or exercise program, he must also ask you to record your daily food intake and monitor that to let you become aware how much you are eating and what foods to avoid or eat in moderation...and your personal trainer must encourage you and motivate you to reach your goal...but then...it takes your trust and obedience to your personal trainer to achieve your own goal...no one can make you lose weight, except when you decide to do it.
